Tiny dishes, tea and sake cups plus their popular single flower vases can always be seen lined up on drying shelves in various stages of production. Ko-san's parents hand-finish all items - smoothing bases, painting edges or perfecting motifs with experienced, steady hands.

Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced.
